In the heart of Bologna
The hotel is located in the heart of the city just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Piazza Maggiore central square and the famous Two Towers.
Every year, the magnificent Piazza Maggiore plays host to important events and musical shows between the Fountain of Neptune and the Basilica of San Petronio. The Palazzo del Podestà and the Palazzo Re Enzo, both right on the hotel’s doorstep, are large exhibition centres that host art festivals and exhibitions, making Bologna and its prestigious university one of the capitals of European culture.
Bologna is also the ideal base from which to explore the nearby historic city of Ferrara and the nature trails of the Po Delta Park close to Ravenna.
Our reception staff will be happy to help you book a guided tour of the city of Modena, with stops at the Ferrari factory and museum in Maranello, the Lamborghini factory and museum, and the Ducati Transport Museum.
Just 5 minutes from the famous Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, Hotel Porta San Mamolo benefits from good bus links to Bologna Centrale Railway Station and the “Marconi Express” – the monorail that takes you to the airport in just a few minutes.
Hotel Porta San Mamolo is ideally situated for anyone wishing to visit the historic city of Bologna or its Fiera business district.
